What is Building Bridges Forum?

Building Bridges is a full-day online forum that aims to strengthen connection and collaboration between victim survivor and people using violence services in Melbourne’s North under the MARAM Framework and Information Sharing Schemes. 

Who is Building Bridges Forum for?

Building Bridges is open to all specialist and non-specialist family violence practitioners in the Northern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne. 
All-level workers who come to contact with victim survivors of family violence and people using violence are encouraged to attend.

Can I access additional support during the forum?

NIFVS are committed to making sure the event is accessible and safe, regardless of ability, identities, language, age, culture or experiences. We welcome any and all knowledge about specific needs that will help us to tailor our event delivery to best meet the needs of all participants.

Accessibility

All sessions will be live captioned. AUSLAN interpreters will be available during the panel section upon request. 
All documents  will be available in accessible format on the NIFVS website and the Building Bridges Forum website. We have planned frequent breaks throughout the day. 

What platform do I need to access the Building Bridges Forum?

The Building Bridges Forum will run via Zoom. If you experience any technical issue, you can email us at nifvs@whin.org.au or utilise the chat function on Zoom. 

What device should I use to watch the forum?

We strongly advise that you participate via your desktop or laptop. Mobile devices are supported but the best experience will be through the desktop or laptop. 

Is the event free?

The Building Bridges Forum is free, but you have to register to attend. Due to limited capacity for the afternoon Case Study Workshops, early registration is strongly recommended to secure your spot. Use the "Register Now" button on the left top corner.
